John Hodgman at Radio & TV Correspondents’ Dinner
My biggest complaint with Hodgman is that he too often careens wildly with his references and allusions, much like a younger Dennis Miller would. However, as this video shows, he is a master of purposefully going to far with these references and then suddenly snapping them back to become accessible and show their relevance to what he’s talking about. Few times have I seen topical humor and sharp political satire used for such sweeping social commentary as this. A joy to watch.
